Freddy Adu converted a completely unearned penalty kick for Benfica as the Lisbon club came from behind to defeat Estrela da Amadora in a Carlsberg Cup match. The penalty kick Adu converted was according to every press report I have read a poor call by the official. Nonetheless, Adu getting on the scoresheet should instill some degree of confidence in the youngster.
