Major League Soccer Talk Podcast, Episode One
Episode One of the Major League Soccer Talk Podcast is now online. The show features interviews with the Gaffer from EPLTalk.com, Michael Haley and David Trotter. The show runs just over an hour and this being my first pod-casting experience the audio is poor at times, but just bear with it because most of the show sounds very good.

You are something else. You have a great show going talking MLS and making me feel like their is finally a show that avoids the euro snobbery of all these premiership shows and takes the american soccer scene seriously and then you and your co-host go on a tirade about the Alexi Lalas and the Galaxy. Your idiot co-host said Beckham may decide to bail on MLS and you mentioned Beckham would be better off with a club like Dallas or Colorado.
Some advice Kartik. You clearly are a fan of American soccer and are very knowledgable. But your bias against a single club is making your opinion matter less. Drop the bias and the constant hits at the Galaxy and you will be taken more seriously. Besides the Galaxy stuff I did like the show. Good points you made about Angel and Eddie Johnson.
That was an outstanding podcast. Well done.
Well, as the 'idiot co-host', I have no bias against the Galaxy. I am pro-RSL, but not really against anyone.
I don't remember saying that Beckham would 'bail' on the MLS? Maybe I might of, I haven't heard the podcast since we recorded it. I DID say that he might not fit into their style of play. Kartik and I both said that his four years at Real Madrid will make it easier for him to adapt to the MLS than ANY of his years at Manchester United. I think Beckham will stay, but maybe for the money, that would be it. Would you refuse that amount? We are talking about A-Rod amounts. And if that is the case, Becks will stay! I don't think any English team would have offered him that amount. Also, where would you rather live, LA or Manchester. I think that answer is easy. He might not like it here, as far as soccer, but he will LOVE the lifestyle and money.
And, as far at Lalas, you are right, I don't like the guy. I don't think he was a good player and I don't like him now as well. Just because you look like an abused red-headed step-child doesn't mean you should be the voice of American soccer. I think he gets more press than many other American players purely on his past odd looks, not his playing ability.
And I highly disagree with the fact that, as you say..."your bias against a single club is making your opinion matter less" is true. Hell, the British media have made their living off of this and have been highly successful.
So, Sams Army, let me ask you...are you a Galaxy fan? If so, then you don't need to look at the next question.
If you aren't, then ask this question..."is the LA Galaxy the best fit for a player (not a lifestyle) like Beckham?" I really don't know, but with their current form, I would have to say no. I think, in the end, that Beckham will have as much of an impact on the Galaxy as Adu has had on RSL.
Sorry Sams Army, I guess you weren't talking about me afterall lol.

Funny how the mainstream media is now following my lead and wondering just how much Beckham will even be available to the Galaxy this fall.
Sams is out of touch with reality and can't really engage in any meaningful debate.
