EPL Yanks

Aston Villa1 1 - 1 Fulham

Fulham salvaged a point against a very good Villa side. Brian McBride came off the bench with 18 minutes remaining to try and find a winner for the Cottagers. Carlos Bocanegra played the full 90 minutes in this match.

Charlton Athletic 0 - 0 Watford

This battle of relugation favorites went according to form with a scoreless draw. Jay DeMerit played a full 90 minutes for Watford.

Everton 2 - 0 Sheffield United

Tim Howard earned his third clean sheet of the season as Everton defeated Sheffield United 2-0 at Goodison Park. Howard bounced back from a poor effort in the previous match to regain the trust of Manager David Moyes.

Reading 0 - 4 Arsenal

Bobby Convey was once againa scratch and Marcus Hannehman was under constant assault as Reading was shelled early and often in this one sided affair.


Blackburn 0 - 1 Bolton

Brad Friedel played well but his Rovers side was defeated as they missed two penalty kicks within a five minute span.

Some of the poor form of premier league teams has been carried over to the League Cup as evidenced by West Ham's pathetic loss.
