Michael Carrick to Man Utd.

Michael Carrick will be leaving White Hart Lane and landing at Old Trafford to start the upcoming season.

Manchester United grabbed the Three Lions midfielder from Tottenham Hotspur for a transfer fee of $34.7 million. Sky Sports reports that Sir Alex Ferguson said that this move was 'a great move for the add'.

Carrick will be wearing the same number as former Man Utd captain Roy Keane had for many years, that is number 16.

He will be available for the to play against Portugal side Porto in Amsterdam next week.

While his decision to leave Spurs pains me, A nice transfer fee will make the folks at White Hart Lane happy.

Didier Zokora has alreayd signed with Spurs and with DeFoe, Lennon and Jenas a year more experienced along with Keane I believe Spurs midfield and attack is going to be among the best in the EPL this year even without Carrick.
